irish soda bread
My great-grandfather was originally from Ireland and brought this recipe with him.
Blue Ribbon Recipe
When St. Patrick's Day is near, bake a batch of this Irish soda bread. It's a basic, simple, quick bread that's moist and tender. Every Irish parent has their version, and this one is slightly sweet, with raisins and caraway seeds dotted throughout. Serve warm with butter or a slice alongside a bowl of stew or soup for a hearty meal.
