I adopted this orphaned recipe and made it my own by making changes to the recipe...It is not orphaned any longer.

Ingredients

  • 4 c
    flour
  • 4 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 c
    craisins, raisins, or nuts (all 3 = 2 cups)
  • 2 Tbsp
    rosemary sprigs (crushed)
  • 2 c
    buttermilk
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda

How to Make Irish Bread

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all together and pour into greased cast iron frying pan or loaf pan.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
