Ingredients For hush puppies

  • 2 c
    cornmeal
  • 3/4 c
    self rising flour
  • 1 sm
    onion, finely chopped
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    buttermilk
  • 3/4 c
    water

How To Make hush puppies

  • 1
    Combine all ingredients well. You may need to add more water for proper consistency. Drop by tablespoon in hot oil. Fry until golden brown.

    The recipe says to make better add baking powder and baking soda.
