- 1 1/2 cups warm water (not over 110 degrees)
- 2 packages active dry yeast
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 6 tablespoons butter, melted

We baked our pizza on a pizza stone at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes.

Step 1In a small bowl or cup, mix warm water and yeast. Let it activate for around 5 minutes.

Step 2Mix flour and salt. Blend in a mixer or mix by hand.

Step 3Pour the melted butter into the yeast mixture (butter cannot be boiling hot, but just warmed).

Step 4While the mixer is on, start adding the liquid to the flour mixture and just let it mix on low until a dough begins to form. Make sure all ingredients are incorporated as much as possible before kneading.

Step 5Pour the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 2 minutes or so. My dough was kinda tough and thick.

Step 6Use non-stick butter spray and spray a bowl. Then place your smooth dough into the bowl. Give a quick spray on the dough and cover.

Step 7Let it sit for 2 hours to rise and double in size.

Step 8Once it has risen, then simply punch it down.

Step 9Cut it into either 2 or 3 even-sized pieces. This recipe makes 2 or 3 pizzas, depending on the thickness you prefer. We made 2, a round and a square.

Step 10After you have fitted your dough into your pan, poke it all over with a fork, then top with your choice of toppings.

Step 11We had a cheese pizza and a pizza with onion, black olives, mushrooms, turkey pepperoni, and cheese.

Step 12Bake at 400 degrees F for 15 - 20 minutes.

Step 13After baking, I rubbed the stick of butter on the crust. Then sprinkled garlic powder and seasoning salt.
