- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon shortening
- 1/2 cup milk room temperature
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 pound ground chourico
How To Make home style chouricio rolls

Step 1In A large bowl add the warm water and slowly stir in yeast until dissolved. Add salt, sugar, shortening, and milk to the yeast and stir. Mix in 2 cups of flour and mix. Adding more flour 1tbsp at a time as needed until the dough chases the spoon around the bowl. Turn dough on to floured work surface and need until soft and smooth and not sticky to the touch. put dough in greased bowl and cover and let rise in warm spot for an hour or at least doubled in sized. punch dough down and knead. cut in to small balls flatten out and put good amount of chourico into the dough roll and repeat for remaining balls. Depending on the size you make varies how many you will have. Once done let rise for another half hour. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake for about 45 minutes or golden brown.
