  • 6 slice
    day old bread (i used italian bread)
  • 1/4 c
  • 4 Tbsp
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 tsp
    parsley flakes
  • 1 tsp
    chives, dried
  • ·
    fresh grated parmesan cheese
  • ·
    fresh ground black pepper
  • ·

How to Make Garlic Parmesan Crutons


  1. Melt butter, add in olive oil. Add in garlic powder stir til dissolved. Add parsley flakes and dried chives. Set aside. Sprinkle in Parmesan Cheese and mix.
  2. Cut crusts off of bread. then cut into 3/4" to 1" pieces. Add in the Butter Mixture, make sure to get all pieces coated.
  3. Spread pieces onto a baking sheet, making sure to spread apart. Sprinkle with fresh grated black pepper and salt.
  4. Bake in a 300* oven for 15 minutes, turn pieces over and return to oven for 15 minutes more. Let cool before serving on salad....or munch on them while warm!
