Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain cornmeal
  • 1 cup self rising flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup cooking oil
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • - extra cooking oil

How To Make fried cornbread

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients well. Heat cooking oil in an iron frying pan. Using a tablespoon from the silverware, drop by heaping spoonfuls in hot oil and fry until it looks lacy on the edges. Turn and fry the other side. Drain on paper towels.
