This is a recipe that my grandma made when we were kids, then my mom and I made them and now we make them for Sunday breakfast quite often. I also make them every time my daugter has friends sleep over. It's always a request of her friends. They are easy and delicious.

Makes 12 muffins

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

MIX THOROUGHLY

1/3 c
shortening
1/2 c
sugar
1
egg

SIFT TOGETHER

1 c
flour
1 1/2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
nutmeg

STIR INTO EGG MIXTURE ALTERNATELY WITH 1 CUP OF MILK

How to Make French Breakfast Puffs

Step-by-Step

  • 1Fill 12 greased muffin tins 2/3 full.
  • 2Bake until golden brown at 350 degrees. About 20-25 minutes.
  • 3Immediately roll in 1/2 cup melted BUTTER
    Then in mixture of 2/3 cup sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
