This is another recipe I make often in the Fall, it came with my bread machine.

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups plus 2 tbl water (80°)
- 2 tablespoons plus 1 tsp oil
- 2 tablespoons plus 1 tsp sugar
- 2 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 5 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons dry active yeast
How To Make french bread-bread machine/oven

Step 1Place water and oil in bread pan. In a bowl shift 5 c. of flour, add salt and sugar. Pour into bread pan. Make a small indention in top of flour and place yeast there.

Step 2For baking this in the oven, set bread machine on DOUGH cycle. After it kneads, rests, and rising, the machine will beep letting you know the dough is ready.

Step 3Remove dough onto lightly floured surface, cut in half, place in loaf pans, jelly rolls, or roll dough into logs, then place them right next to each other. You can also cut them into smaller chunks and make sub buns. Brush tops with butter, olive oil, or spray with spray oil. Bake 375° for about 35-40 min.
