I got this easy recipe about 40 years ago out of a book about a woman and her husband who homesteaded a parcel of land. It makes good rolls and better caramel cinnamon rolls.

Ingredients
- 2 cups scalded milk cooled
- 2- ounces yeast cakes
- 2/3 cup warm water 110'
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 3 - eggs
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 7 cups sifted flour
- 1 stick melted butter
How To Make dinner rolls

Step 1scald 2 cups milk. let cool to 110' Dissolve 2 pkgs. dry yeast in 2/3 C. warm 110' water let set until bubbly.

Step 2Mix the milk, yeast,eggs, salt,and flour together. Let stand for 1 hour.

Step 3Turn dough out onto a floured surface. Pat dough with floured hands to 1 inch thickness. brush on melted butter. fold dough over pat dough out to 1 inch spread with melted butter. Repeat 2 more times. Cut into 3 doz pieces shape into rolls.place in greased pan. Let rise for 1 hour Bake in 400 degree oven for 15=20 Mins.

Step 4For caramel rolls. in 9x13 in pan melt 1/2c butter sprinkle on melted butter 1 C. light brown sugar. Pat dough out to 3/4 in sheet. Mix together 1c sugar 2 Tbsp cinnamon. Melt butter spread butter on dough sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture, Roll up. cut in 1 1/2 inch pieces place in pan in which you have the cinnamon sugar butter mixture Bake at 375 for 35 mins
