This is an old recipe that my mother used to make all the time. Delicious!

Ingredients

1 pkg
dry yeast
1 c
cottage cheese/creamed
1 Tbsp
melted butter
1 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
soda
2 Tbsp
sugar
1 Tbsp
dill seed
1
egg/unbeated
1 Tbsp
onion powder
1
egg/unbeated
2 1/2 c
all purpose flour

How to Make Dill Bread

Step-by-Step

  • 1-Dissolve yeast in 1/4 c warm water
    -mix together cottage cheese and melted butter, seasonings, egg and onion powder
  • 2- add yeast mixture
    -Gradually add flour
    -Knead for 8-10 minutes
  • 3- let rise until double in bulk/app. 1 hr.
    -knead again app. 2 min.
    -pour into greased loaf pan
  • 4Let rise again until double in bulk
    Bake 300 for 50 minutes
    When done brush with butter and salt
