  • 1 pkg
    french bread cut in half lengthwise
  • 1 stick
    butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 pt
    whipped cream cheese
  • 2 c
    shredded colby/jack cheese
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 tsp
    seasoning salt

How to Make Dawn's Easy Cheesy Bread


  1. Cut the french bread in half lengthwise. Place on baking sheet. Spread softened butter or margarine on both sides of the bread. Mix the seasonings in a small bowl and/or sprinkle 1/2 the mixture of on each side of the bread. Next spread the whipped cream cheese generously over each piece of bread and then add the grated co-jack cheese. Place in 425 degree over for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and starts to brown and sides are crisp. Remove from over and let stand for 5 mins or so to allow the cheese to start cooling. Slice into serving size piece and serve.

    chopped parsley and basil
