Ok I adopted this recipe and I have made it my own with a couple of changes. This used to call for coconut and corflakes, I omitted the coconut because it burned on me very quick. I also changed the bread from white to wheat, substituted the cornflakes for Kellogs honey and oats corflakes. Added confectioners sugar and Vanilla. I also substituted the coconut for coconut milk! Yummyy

Ingredients

  • 1 - egg
  • 1/3 cup coconut milk ( you can also use vanilla soy milk) for you that can't tolerate dairy.
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup crushed cornflakes (i used kellogs honey and oats)
  • 3 tablespoons butter, you will need more than this (just keep adding as needed)
  • 4 slices wheat bread
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar set aside( aas much as you need)

How To Make crunchy french toast

  • Step 1
    Blend egg, milk, Vanilla, sugar and cinnamon.
  • Step 2
    Dip bread in egg mixture, then in corn flakes
  • Step 3
    Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Step 4
    Brown in skillet until light golden on both sides, turning once.
  • Step 5
    Serve with maple syrup and a touch of Confectioners sugar.
