Ingredients

2 c
all-purpose flour
1/3 c
sugar
1/4 tsp
salt
1 1/2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
baking soda
6 Tbsp
butter
2/3 c
sweetened dried cranberries
1/2 c
buttermilk
1
egg
1 1/2 tsp
vanilla extract

How to Make Cranberry Buttermilk Scones

Step-by-Step

  • 1Stir together first 5 ingredients; cut in butter with a pastry blender. Stir in cranberries.
  • 2Combine buttermilk, egg and vanilla; mix into flour mixture until just moistened.
  • 3Drop dough in 10 tablespoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet. Bake at 375F for 15 minutes or until golden. Makes 10 scones.
