corny huspuppies
I derived this recipe from Mama Dee's Little pup hush puppies...I didn't have any SR cornmeal and I really wanted some corn in there....thanks for the inspiration!!! So good I ate them for breakfast with a little butter on the side :)

Ingredients
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons minced onion
- 1 - egg
- 1 cup water
- 2 - 12 oz cans niblet corn
- - cooking oil
How To Make corny huspuppies

Step 1Mix first 7 ingredients together in bowl.

Step 2Heat oil in deep fryer or deep boiler on stove. Turn oil to high and then reduce heat to medium to medium high

Step 3Use 2 spoons to drop small balls of batter into hot oil. Drop a couple of hushpuppies in oil at a time. When browned remove from oil with a slotted spoon to drain on plate, paper towels, etc.
