  • 3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 c
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 c
    baking cocoa
  • 3 medium
    eggs, beaten
  • 2 c
    grated (about 1 large) zucchini
  • 1 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How to Make Chocolate Zucchini Bread


  1. preheat oven to 325.
  2. in a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, baking powder,and cocoa. in another bowl, combine remaining ingredients. stir zucchini mixture into flour mixture.
  3. grease well and lightly flour 2 9x5 inch loaf pans, divide mixture evenly between loaf pans.
  4. bake 55-60 minutes, or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  5. cool 5 minutes on a rack then remove from pan. cool completely before slicing
