I created a new recipe for a new kind of cinnamon rolls. Think of these as cinnamon rolls' chocolate sibling.

Ingredients

  • ROLLS
  • 1 cup chocolate milk
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 - packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup cane sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 3 - egg whites
  • 2 cups cocoa powder
  • 4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup chopped chocolate covered peanuts
  • 2 - dark chocolate bars, chopped
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • FROSTING
  • 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 1 package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate milk

How To Make chocolate rolls

  • Step 1
To make the rolls, warm the chocolate milk in a small saucepan until it bubbles, then remove from heat. Mix in margarine and stir until melted. Add water and let cool until lukewarm.
  • Step 2
In a large bowl, combine milk mixture, yeast, cane sugar, sea salt, egg whites and cocoa powder; stir well to combine. Stir in the flour; beat well. Cover the bowl and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  • Step 3
Deflate dough and turn it out onto a well floured surface. Roll dough out into a rectangle and spread with margarine.
  • Step 4
Sprinkle with chopped chocolate covered peanuts, chopped dark chocolate bars and milk chocolate chips.
  • Step 5
Roll up dough and cut into 3/4 inch thick rolls. Place rolls in two lightly greased 9x13-inch baking pans. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 45 minutes.
  • Step 6
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 7
Bake the rolls in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Step 8
To make the frosting, combine cream cheese, chocolate syrup, chocolate pudding mix and chocolate milk in a medium bowl and mix well until blended.
  • Step 9
    Spread over the warm rolls.
