I was inpired to create my own take of the Colombian Buñuelos that our close family friend used to prepare all the time when I was a child. I hope you all enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup tapioca starch
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chèvre cheese
  • 1 - egg
  • abt 1 teaspoon milk
  • - oil

How To Make chèvre beignet

  • Step 1
    Whisk together all dry ingredients in bowl. Mix in the chèvre cheese.
  • Step 2
    Create a well in the center, mix egg in by hand until a doughy consistency. Only add milk if needed to get right consistency.
  • Step 3
    Form balls about 1 inch in diameter and drop into hot oil. Cook about 4 minutes until golden brown. Serve and Enjoy! =) **Optional: Lightly dust with powdered sugar.
