I was inpired to create my own take of the Colombian Buñuelos that our close family friend used to prepare all the time when I was a child. I hope you all enjoy.

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

1/3 c
tapioca starch
1/4 c
cornstarch
1 1/2 Tbsp
sugar
1 Tbsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
salt
1 c
chèvre cheese
1
egg
abt 1 tsp
milk
oil

How to Make Chèvre Beignet

Step-by-Step

  • 1Whisk together all dry ingredients in bowl. Mix in the chèvre cheese.
  • 2Create a well in the center, mix egg in by hand until a doughy consistency. Only add milk if needed to get right consistency.
  • 3Form balls about 1 inch in diameter and drop into hot oil. Cook about 4 minutes until golden brown. Serve and Enjoy! =)

    **Optional: Lightly dust with powdered sugar.
