I was inpired to create my own take of the Colombian Buñuelos that our close family friend used to prepare all the time when I was a child. I hope you all enjoy.

    tapioca starch
  • 1/4 c
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 c
    chèvre cheese
  • 1
  • abt 1 tsp

How to Make Chèvre Beignet


  1. Whisk together all dry ingredients in bowl. Mix in the chèvre cheese.
  2. Create a well in the center, mix egg in by hand until a doughy consistency. Only add milk if needed to get right consistency.
  3. Form balls about 1 inch in diameter and drop into hot oil. Cook about 4 minutes until golden brown. Serve and Enjoy! =)

    **Optional: Lightly dust with powdered sugar.
