2 sheets ready rolled puff pastry
1 egg
1/2 cup cheese, finely grated

How to Make Cheese Twisties


  • 1Brush first sheet of pastry lightly with egg and spiracle with cheese. Brush second sheet of pastry lighty with egg and place over the cheese.
  • 2Press pastry sheets firmly together. Cut pastry sheet in half and then cut each half into 1 inch wide strips. a pastry cutter works well for this.
  • 3Pick up each strip of pastry with both hands and twist before placing on a sheet of baking paper on an oven tray.
  • 4Bake in 450 oven for 10 minutes or til golden. serve warm. Variation: Use 1 slice of finely chopped bacon and 1 Tbsp. of finely chopped pecans to replace the cheese.
