I've had this recipe for a long time and I'm making Swedish Meatballs over brown rice and I was looking thru my folders and found this and said now this will go very well with dinner. So I thought I would share. My family likes a kick to pretty much everything I cook so hope youz like this. Very easy and a lil sweet and a lil spicy would go well with any dish you are serving.

prep time 15 Min
cook time 40 Min
method Bake
yield 8 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups self rising flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1-12 ounce can of warm beer (any type)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped jalapenos

How To Make cheese/ jalapenos/ beer/bread

  • Step 1
Grease a loaf pan and preheat oven to 375* In a large bowl put in flour( I do not use or buy self rising I make my own. 1-cup of flour and 1-tsp of baking powder and 1/2 tsp of salt makes one cp of self rising flour. So do the math for your recipe
  • Step 2
Add sugar oregano basil. Whisk this till combined. Now add warm beer along with cheese and Jalapenos. Stir till combined. Batter will be lumpy that is OK
  • Step 3
Pour into greased loaf pan and bake for 35-40 minutes pending on your oven. Use a toothpick to insert in middle if it comes out clean bread is done.
