I am not sure how I found this recipe, but it was a young lady on YouTube that showed how to make them. I thought it sounded different and I made it a few days later and I was really happy with how easy and tasty they were.

Ingredients

  • 4 c
    self rising flour
  • 2 tsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/4 c
    milk
  • ·
    oil for frying

How to Make Carribbean fried dumplings

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all dry ingredients and add the milk. Knead gently and make into patties. Fry in about an inch of hot oil in a non stick frypan until brown.

    I am not sure why it is called a dumpling because it is nothing like the dumplings we know and love, but it sure it tasty and can be eaten for breakfast with a little sugar and cinnamon on top.
