carribbean fried dumplings

I am not sure how I found this recipe, but it was a young lady on YouTube that showed how to make them. I thought it sounded different and I made it a few days later and I was really happy with how easy and tasty they were.

Ingredients For carribbean fried dumplings

  • 4 c
    self rising flour
  • 2 tsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/4 c
    milk
  • oil for frying

How To Make carribbean fried dumplings

    Mix all dry ingredients and add the milk. Knead gently and make into patties. Fry in about an inch of hot oil in a non stick frypan until brown. I am not sure why it is called a dumpling because it is nothing like the dumplings we know and love, but it sure it tasty and can be eaten for breakfast with a little sugar and cinnamon on top.
