This is the best cornbread recipe I have found yet. It's moist and doesnt crumble as much as most corn breads do.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1 2/3 cups milk
  • 2 1/3 cups flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

How To Make buttery cornbread

  • Step 1
    In large bowl or kitchen aid mixer, cream butter and sugar.
  • Step 2
    In small bowl, combine eggs and milk.
  • Step 3
    In another bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt.
  • Step 4
    Add flour mixture and milk mixture alternately into cream mixture, mix well. Pour into well greased 9x13 baking dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 22-27 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
  • Step 5
    Add a can of creamed corn for a little more moisture and texture.
