My Mother taught me how to make this cornbread and it is delicious!

Ingredients

3/4 c
buttermilk corn meal
1 Tbsp
mayonnaise
1 tsp
garlic salt or powder
1 Tbsp
onion flakes
1/4 c
shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp
parsley
1/2 c
buttermilk
1 Tbsp
olive oil

How to Make Buttermilk Cornbread

Step-by-Step

  • 1Grease iron skillet with olive oil. Sprinkle buttermilk cornmeal to cover bottom and sides of skillet.
  • 2Mix ingredients well and pour into skillet.
  • 3Bake at 400 degrees until cracks form in bread and it looks done (about 30 minutes). Broil until bread is slightly brown.
