ap flour
1/4 c
sugar
2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
salt
1 Tbsp
grated orange peel
1/2 c
cold butter, cut into chucks
3/4 c
buttermilk
1 large
brown organic egg
1 c
frozen blueberries
2 Tbsp
organic turbinado cane sugar

How to Make Buttermilk Blueberry Scones

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degree.
    In food processor pulse flour, sugar, baking powder
    orange peel and salt to blend.
  • 2Scape into large bowl.
    In small bowl whisk buttermilk, egg to blend.
    add liquids to flour mixture. and stir with a fork untill evenly moistened. will look crumbly
  • 3Scrape dough onto lightly flour surface with flour hands work in frozen blueberries.
    work dough into a ball, pat int a 7" round circle.
    sprinkle Turinado sugar to top.
  • 4Cut dough into eight wedges place on baking sheet about 2" apart. Bake for 20-25 minutes. serve with butter. Enjoy
