This is a recipe that I have had several years....It was originally published by Purdue University "Bread Making 101"....Hope you enjoy it.

Serves:
1-1/2 lb. loaf
Method:
Bread Machine

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 tsp
    active dry yeast
  • 3 c
    bread flour
  • 1/2 c
    instant potato flakes, dry
  • 1-1/2 Tbsp
    dry milk powder
  • 1-1/2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1-1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1-1/2 Tbsp
    butter (cut into 4 pieces)
  • 9 oz
    (1 cup+2 tbsp) water (80 degrees)

How to Make Bread Machine Potato Bread

Step-by-Step

  1. Place ingredients in bread pan according to manufacturers directions...
    Add yeast, bread flour, instant potato flakes, dry milk, sugar, and salt...Tap pan to settle dry ingredients, then level dry ingredients, pushing some of the flour mixture into the corners. Place a piece of butter into each corner of pan.
  2. Add water.....
  3. Select BASIC or BASIC RAPID. I use "rapid bake" in my Panasonic
