    flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    salt
  • 1 pkg
    active dry yeast
  • 1 Tbsp
    margarine, softened
  • 2 1/2 c
    very hot water

How To Make bowl bread, mom

    Mix 2 1/2 c flour, sugar, salt and undissolved yeast in a large bowl. Add margarine, gradually add water and beat at med speed, scraping bowl occasionally. Add enough flour to make a thick batter, beating after every 3/4 c addition. When a soft dough, knead smooth and elastic, about 8-10 min. Place covered in a greased bowl until doubled. Punch down. Divide, fill 2 greased 9x5 loaf pans. Let raise double again. Bake at 400 degrees for 40-45 min or until done and cool on wire rack.
