I couldn't find a recipe on here for beer batter hushpuppies so I found this one at cooks.com. The beer makes them so light and fluffy inside and they taste great!

- 1 cup cornmeal mix
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 medium egg beaten
- 1 or 2 tablespoons small diced onion

Step 1Mix all ingredients together and add enough beer to make a stiff batter. drop by spoonfuls into hot oil. deep fry at 325 or pan fry on med hi until golden brown
