In going through my aunt's cookbook, I came across this recipe dated 1980. I love rolls and it sounds very easy.

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup warm water
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup soft shortening
- 1 - egg
- 1 2/3 cups flour
How To Make batter buns

Step 1Dissolve yeast in water; add sugar, salt, shortening, egg, and one cup of flour. Beat with mixer until smooth. Add remaining flour until smooth. Spoon into well greased muffin cups; let rise 30 - 45 minutes. Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown -- approximately 20 minutes. Enjoy!
