This yummy banana bread recipe was given to me by a neighbor , many years ago !! Now we all have tried many banana bread recipes, but honest this one is the best I have ever had. Moist and lots of banana flavor !!!

  • 1/2 c
    soft butter
  • 1 c
  • 2
  • 1 1/3 c
    mashed ripe bananas (3 large or 4 medium)
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 c
    unsifted flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/2 c
    chopped walnuts

How to Make Banana Nut Bread


  1. heat oven to 350 df
    Bake for 1 hr. 10 minutes ~(check at one hour)
  2. In a large bowl cream butter w/sugar until light and fluffy.
    Beat in eggs. Combine bananas , milk and vanilla.
    Mix flour, soda, and salt.
  3. Blend in flour mixture alternately w/bananas. Stir in walnuts.
  4. Turn into greased 9x5x4 inch loaf pan
    Bake 350 df ~ for 1 hr. 10 minutes or until cake tester inserted comes out clean. cool 10 minutes.
    (I check it at 1 hr, ovens differ )
