Ingredients

2 cupssifted all-purpose flour

1 tsp.baking powder
-
1 tsp.baking soda

1/2 tsp.salt
-
8 tbspunsalted butter(1 stick)or salted butter
-
1/2 cupsugar
-
2large eggs
-
1/4 tspground anise,optional(i replaced it with 1/4tsp.vanilla extract)

1small granny smith apple, peeled,cored,shredded(about 1 cup)i just chopped my apple real fine and added
-
1 cupmild cheddar shredded cheese

1/2 cupchopped pecans
How to Make APPLE CHEDDAR NUT BREAD
- 1.PREHEAT oven to 350 degrees
MIST an 8" x 4" loaf pan with cooking spray(I used Bakers Joy) - In a small bowl, SIFT together flour,baking powder,baking soda and salt.
Using a electric mixer on medium-high speed,BEAT butter and salt until fluffy and smooth, about 3 minutes. - ADD eggs one at a time,BEATING well after each.
STIR flour mixture into butter mixture.
ADD anise,if desired,shredded apple, mild cheddar cheese and pecans,mixing with a wooden spoon just enough to blend. - TRANSFER batter to loaf pan.
BAKE for 40-to 55 minutes,or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. - NOTE: Recipe does not double well.
Cool Bread,slice and enjoy. Can be served with cold milk, hot coffee,hot tea and iced tea. Enjoy!
