Ingredients
- 2 packages active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
How To Make amish soft pretzels

Step 1Dissolve yeast in warm water(105 degrees-115 degrees).Add salt and flour.

Step 2Knead till smooth.

Step 3Cover with cloth and let rise 15 minutes.

Step 4Divide dough into 16 parts.

Step 5Roll each piece into narrow rolls and shape into a pretzel.

Step 6Mix 1/2 cup water and 2 teaspoon soda.

Step 7Dip each pretzel into soda solution and sprinkle with salt.

Step 8Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake 450 degrees for 15-20 minutes till golden brown.
