While Don and I were in the service, we met lots of interesting people. We often exchanged recipe ideas. This was one of our favorites that came from Germany. These folks had thesemuffins all the time. They are tasty and there is no age limit on who eats them, whenever they want! Ha~

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups allpurpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 - eggs
- 1 cup finely chopped onions1/2
- 1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 cups bacon bits or bacon pieces
How To Make sweet onion muffins

Step 1In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Step 2In another bowl,beat eggs, onions, and butter until blended.

Step 3stir into dry ingredients, just untilmoistened.

Step 4Fold in bacon chips or bits.

Step 5Fill greased or paper lined minature muffincups three-fourths the way full.

Step 6Cool for 5 minutes, before removing frompans to wire rack.

Step 7This recipe makes 3 dozen muffins. And if you are using regular size muffin cups, bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

Step 8There you have your first batch of Mini-Sweet Onion Muffins. These are great for snacks, though we love them with a good ole` pot of beans.They taste good warm or cold. Eat & Enjoy~
