Makes ~16 standard muffins
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup butter, room temp
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup fresh peaches, peeled and chopped
- 1 2/3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons almonds or walnuts (optional)
How To Make spiced peach muffins

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, ~1 minute. Beat in eggs, water, and almond extract. Stir in peaches.

Step 2Combine flour, baking powder, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add to wet mix. Beat to thoroughly combine.

Step 3Pour roughly 2/3 full into paper lined standard muffin cups. Divide and top with brown sugar (and nuts if you are using them).

Step 4Bake 18 minutes or until just golden brown and slightly springy to the touch. Serve warm or cool on wire racks and serve room temp.
