You do know you can make all your popovers in muffin pans- they just look prettier in the popover pans!
1 1/3 cwhole milk
1/2 cfresh orange juice
2 Tbspmelted butter
2 call purpose flour
1 Tbspgranulated sugar
1/2 tspbaking powder
1 Tbspgrated orange peel
How to Make Orange Popovers
- In a bowl combine the beaten eggs, milk, orange juice and melted butter.
In another bowl combine remaining 4 dry ingredients and orange peel.
- Make a well in the dry ingredients and add the wet ingredient and gently mix ingredients together, until blended. Fill muffin pan cups 1/2 full (or the popover pans 1/2 full). and bake for 20 minutes. Turn heat down to 350^ and bake for about 20 minutes more or until well browned. Do not open oven door during entire baking time.
Remove from oven carefully and using a toothpick of sharp knife poke a hole in the popover to let the steam out so they don't get soggy inside... let cool in pan for 5 minutes; then remove and enjoy.
