1Heat oven to 375. Spray a muffin pan w/ cooking spray or use liners. In lg bowl, w/ mixer, Beat 1-1/4 cups sugar and butter until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time. Add both flours, but not the 1 tbsp of flour, and baking powder.
2Beat well. Add milk and vanilla. Mash 1/2 cup berries and stir into batter. In bowl, toss remaining berries w/ 1 tbsp flour. Gently fold berries into batter.
3Spoon batter into muffin cups. Sprinkle w/ remaining sugar. Bake 25-30 mins, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
