I Have Used This Recipe Sense The Late 1968 And Still Do Today,My Friend Miss Modine Estes Gave It To Me And A Lot Of Recipes To Make From The Master Mix . A Very Dear Person To Me All These Years Later I Still Mis Her. So I Will Be Posting Some Recipes That She Taught Me To Make,Hope You Can Use These To.

Ingredients

5 pounds all-purpose flour
2 1/2 cups dry milk powder
3/4 cup baking powder
3 tablespoons salt
1/2 cup sugar
2 pounds vegetable shortening

How To Make master mix

Step 1

sift dry ingredients together.

Step 2

the cut in shortening until mixture looks like cornmeal.
Step 3

store at room temperature in a clean gaint canisters.
Step 4

yields ;29 cups of mix .
