I have been making this wonderful cornbread for a few years now and its always a hit. I even have it as a late night snack with a cold glass of milk from time to time.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk or buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2-1 cup cracklins, roughtly chopped, opt.
How To Make corn bread

Step 1In a large bowl mix together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Mix in milk, egg and butter.

Step 2Pour into a small greased sheet pan. Bake at 425 degreese until golden brown.

Step 3I often bake mine in a small cast iron pan.
