Ingredients
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup quick cooking rolled oats
- 2 teaspoons baking poweder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 4 - over ripe bananas mashed
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar or splenda or a quarter cup of each which is what i did
- 1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup nutella
How To Make banana buttermilk nutella muffins

Step 1Preheat oven to 350F (180 C) Pray muffin pan with spray (I used wrappers and they really stuck so you might want to spray them if you use them.

Step 2In a large bowl combine flour, oats, baking powder and baking soda

Step 3In another bowl, wisk together bananas, eggs, sugar/splenda, applesauce, buttermilk and vanilla. Pour over dry ingredients and stir until just combined

Step 4Spoon into prepared muffin pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes in pan then move to rack to cool completely

Step 5spread each muffin with 1 tablespoon of Nutella. (For this step I just cut it open and scooped in a little nutella and then squeezed the sides back together.
