bacon bran muffins

I just made these and they are so yummy and healthy. I think I would add a little more br sugar. Easy to make. I used dried cranberries, peaches, and papayas. I ate one with butter and one with cream cheese, I think honey butter would be good too. I got the recipe from Yahoo videos online.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup dried fruit (blueberries and dried cranberries, & dates)
- 1 1/2 cups wheat bran
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup applesauce
- 1/4 cup turkey bacon cooked and crumbled
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 - egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons flaxseed
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
How To Make bacon bran muffins

Step 1Heat oven to 350 deg. Grease muffin pan. Mix bran, flour, soda, baking powder, and salt, add sugar, egg, applesauce, vanilla, and buttermilk.

Step 2Mix slightly. FOLD in flax seed, bacon and dried fruit.

Step 3Spoon into greased muffin pan and bake 350 deg 20 25 min. Let cool and remove.
