How to Make Okra Hoecakes
- Measure dry ingredients and stir with whisk.
- Mix slightly beaten egg, buttermilk,and canola oil together.
- Combine dry and wet ingredients with okra and stir with a spoon to mix well. Let sit for 2 or 3 minutes. Drop by spoonfuls into a hot greased skillet and cook until golden brown. Flip over and away from you. Brown hoecakes on both sides. Serve while warm and enjoy.
