My hubby loves artichokes and this one is great.

Ingredients

  • - 1 loaf french bread, 16 oz
  • - 1/4 cup margarine, 1/2 stick
  • - 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • - 1 can artichoke hearts, drained, finely chopped, 14 oz
  • - 2 t. basil
  • - 2 t. garlic powder
  • - 1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese
  • - 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • - 1/2 cup sour cream
  • - dash red pepper
  • - 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • - paprika to taste

How To Make hot artichoke loaf

  • Step 1
    Cut bread in half lengthwise. Scoop out center in each half leaving a 1 inch shell. Crumble removed bread and set aside. Heat margarine in skillet over medium heat until melted. Add garlic. Cook until light brown, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add artichoke hearts, basil, garlic powder, Monterey jack cheese, Parmesan cheese, sour cream, red pepper and reserved bread and mix well. Spoon into bread shells. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and paprika. Put bread halves on a baking sheet. Cover with foil coated with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Remove foil. Bake for another 5 minutes or until cheese has melted. Cut into slices. Serves 12 Secret Ingredients
