This is one of my favorite fall treats. It is great for breakfast, as a dessert and aslo as a snack with coffee.

Ingredients

sugar

eggs, beaten
1 c
vegetable oil
16 oz
pumpkin, canned or cooked
3 1/2 c
flour
2 tsp
baking soda
2 tsp
salt
1 tsp
baking powder
1 tsp
nutmeg
1 tsp
allspice
1 tsp
cinnamon
1/2 tsp
cloves
2/3 c
water

How to Make Pumpkin Bread

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cream Sugar and oil together. Add eggs and pumpkin. Mix well.
  • 2Sift dry ingredients together. Add them alternating with water (a little at a time) to the pumpkin mixture.
  • 3Grease and flour 2 9x5 inch loaf pans. Pour the batter into the pans.
  • 4Bake at 350 degrees until done, about 1 1/2 hours. A toothpick inserted into the middle should come out clean.
  • 5Let stand 10 minutes. Remove from pans and cool on a wire rack,
