Cranberries and orange were meant to be together like peas and carrots...lol. Seriously this is a great breakfast roll or a delicious sweet treat at a party.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1/4 cup butter, room temperature
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/3 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons whipping cream

How To Make orange-cranberry rolls

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Cream together butter, egg, cream cheese, and almond extract.
  • Step 3
    Spread out crescent rolls and seal perforations.
  • Step 4
    Spread butter and cream cheese mixture onto crescent roll sheet.
  • Step 5
    Sprinkle cranberries, chopped pecans, and orange zest on top of cream cheese mixture.
  • Step 6
    Roll up crescent dough into a log. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Step 7
    Cut roll into half inch circles and lay on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake for about 8 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Step 8
    While rolls are baking, combine powdered sugar and whipping cream. Spread or drizzle this on hot rolls when they come out the oven.
