mama's banana bread
This was one of my favorite recipes my mom made when I was growing up. I have used pecans instead of walnuts.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 - bananas, very ripe
- 1 - egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
How To Make mama's banana bread

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly butter a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan.

Step 2In a bowl, Mach the bananas until smooth. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.

Step 3Mix in the baking soda and salt.

Step 4Stir in the sugar, egg and vanilla.

Step 5Mix in the flour. Then stir in the nuts.

Step 6Pour into the prepared loaf pan.

Step 7Bake for 1 hour or until done. A toothpick inserted into the middle should come out clean.

Step 8Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack. When cooled, remove from the pan and slice.
