This is a recipe my Mom gave me, that my Gram used to always make, when she was a kid...This was my first time making it. I loved that it wasn't real sweet, and is best served toasted with butter. I didn't add nuts to mine, only because I was fresh out.

You can make a glaze, as I did with one loaf, This bread would be great with a nice hot cup of java!

Enjoy!

How to Make Cranberry ~ Orange ~ Toasting Bread

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F. I used 3 mini loaf pans or can use a 9 x 5 loaf pan. Spray with non stick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients.

Add all other ingredients and stir only until all dry ingredients are blended well. I added my cranberries now too, you can always wait and fold them and nuts in last.
  3. Spoon batter into prepared pan or pans, evenly. Batter will be thick.

Bake in 9 x 13 for 50 - 55 minutes or mini pans for 30 - 35 minutes or until pick comes out clean.
  4. When done, place on cooling rack for a few minutes, then if you like remove from pan and finish cooling.
