Ingredients

  • 1 pkg
    nut or date quick bread mix (sift out dates if using date bread mix)
  • 1-10 oz. jar(s)
    maraschino cherries, chopped and drained ( save juice)
  • 1/4 c
    juice from cherries
  • 3/4 c
    water
  • 1 Tbsp
    oil
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 1 c
    chopped nuts (walnuts, almonds, pecans)
  • 3/4 c
    mini chocolate chips

How to Make Cherry Chocolate Chip Bread

Step-by-Step

  1. Stir all ingredients together in a large bowl.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees for appx. 60 minutes. Best baked in 2 pans -- one 8 x 4 and one 6 x 3. Smaller pan will be done first.
  3. Best made and refrigerated a few days in advance of serving.
