This is another recipe I am copying from a recipe card written by my grandmother. At the top is says "for Mary Ann". I remember such good times at her house visiting and having yummy things like this for coffee.

Ingredients

  • ·
    preheat oven to 325 and grease a 15 x 10 sheet cake pan.
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 2 large
    eggs
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 can(s)
    8 oz. crushed pineapple
  • 1 c
    chopped nuts, your choice
  • FROSTING

  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1 pkg
    8 oz. cream cheese
  • 2 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla

How to Make 2 by 2 bars

Step-by-Step

  1. Place first 7 ingredients into a bowl of a mixer and mix well.
  2. Blend in nuts.
  3. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  4. Bake at 325 for about 25 to 30 minutes until done.
  5. Remove from oven and cool.
  6. Mix frosting ingredients together and beat until smooth and fluffy. Frost cooled bars.
  7. Cut into desired squares and serve.
