I made these to go with the first chili I made. Top these with your chili, sour cream, olives and cheese. so good.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup corn meal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 - egg
  • 1/4 cup syrup

How To Make waffle corn bread

  • Step 1
    pre heat waffle iron
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, whisk your dry ingredients.
  • Step 3
    In a separate bowl whisk together wet ingredients including syrup
  • Step 4
    Make a well in the center of dry ingredients and pour in wet ingredients. whisk together to make a smooth batter. If it's to dry add little bit of milk at a time till it's to your liking.
  • Step 5
    pour batter onto waffle iron and cook till they are golden brown and crispy on outside. usually 3 to 5 min. depending on your waffle iron.
