- 1/2 c
- white cornmeal
- 1 tsp
- 1 3/4 c
- 1 c
- hot water
- oil for cooking
How to Make Tortillas (for Enchilada Recipes)
- 1Mix cornmeal and water. Set aside and allow to cool.
- 2Add the rest of the ingredients. Add a little flour if the dough is too sticky to roll.
- 3Roll into thin circles.
- 4Heat a very small amount of oil in a frying pan. Cook on both sides until brown bubbles appear. (The less oil, the better. Can also use PAM.)
- 5Use for enchilada recipes or any calling for corn tortillas.
