1/2 cwhite cornmeal
1 3/4 cflour
1 chot water
·oil for cooking
How to Make Tortillas (for Enchilada Recipes)
- Mix cornmeal and water. Set aside and allow to cool.
- Add the rest of the ingredients. Add a little flour if the dough is too sticky to roll.
- Roll into thin circles.
- Heat a very small amount of oil in a frying pan. Cook on both sides until brown bubbles appear. (The less oil, the better. Can also use PAM.)
- Use for enchilada recipes or any calling for corn tortillas.
