I got this recipe from a Amish Cookbook I don't remember which one.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 pkgs - yeast (4 1/2 tsp instant)
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 - egg
  • 1 1/2 cups raw chopped apples, opt. (can use other fresh fruit in season
  • - topping
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup nuts
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon water

How To Make stickie quickie buns

  • Step 1
    In a bowl mix 1 1/2 flour and yeast. Heat milk, water, oil, sugar and salt until warm
  • Step 2
    Pour into yeast mixture. Add eggs. Beat for 3 minutes. Stir in 1 1/4 cup flour and chopped apples by hand. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  • Step 3
    While dough is rising mix topping.
  • Step 4
    Heat all ingredients in pan until melted. Pour into 9 x 13 inch pan.
  • Step 5
    Stir down batter and drop by tablespoon on topping. Bake 20 minutes at 375 degrees. Cool 1 minute then cover with cookie sheet and invert to remove buns.
